ABV: 8.5%
Brewery: Erie Brewing Co.
You don’t have to be named Jason to chase down this Golden Fleece, and I’m sure the brew masters who conjured up this style of beer in Germany were not interested in catching up on their Homer readings, but the Golden Fleece from Erie Brewery does not fail to provide its own epic journey. Its smooth crisp taste is very indictative of the style for this seasonal ale, and newcomers and traditionalists alike will not be let down. As you begin your sojurn into a sixpack, be sure to have about 10 drachma (or $USD) to pay Charon, the ferryman. At first your ride may seem serene, but dont let your hubris get the best of you, because at 8.5% ABV you could easily find yourself eating late night pomegranate seeds with Hades.
