About a year ago Palm Ale had been popping up all over the place which started to make me wonder if this was a product of some macro-brewer (a-la Blue Moon). I can regularly get 6 packs at my local liquor store and it’s on tap at several of my local bars. After a quick google search I was happy to find out that it is in fact a product of one of the oldest independent breweries in Belgium. This is not surprising given the relatively good quality of this beer.
Palm’s penetration into the US beer market can be attributed to Latis Imports a specialty beer importer and marketer, focused on the premium brews.
Style: Belgian Ale
ABV: 5.4%
Brewer: Palm Brewery
Review:
Traditional ale that’s not overly in your face, clean and fresh tasting with a little extra booze kick. The aroma is mild but pleasant, toasty malt. Becoming widely available, easy drinking and is a decent value for this class of beer.
