I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a fresh Ommegang Three Philosophers on Tap at Texas Arizona in Hoboken, N.J. This is another heavy hitting Belgian Style, craft brew with high alcohol content. It was poured into a proper Trappist glass and I was immediately taken with it’s caramel color and perfect light tan head. The initial smell that i got was sweet and cherry with a hint of banana bread. It’s nice to drink if you want to get things kickstarted quickly or as an apertif to finish off the evening. Not very sessionable as it’s a little on the heavy side but a definite recommend, especially if you can find it on tap.
